Not sure what you're asking. I can't recall ever deliberately changing the aspect ratio to 16:9 in npvr. Though I've had it running without issue since about 2009 so I might have?

All I know is that sky tv output 16:9 from the set top box, and I'm able to watch it at 16:9 through npvr live TV or as a recording.

Can you elaborate?
AMD A8-3870K 3.0GHz (onboard ATI HD6550 graphics), 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD + 2TB Hard drives, Hauppauge Colossus 2 (HDMI), Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S-Plus (DVB-S), Windows 10 64 bit, NPVR 6.1.5, MCE Remote/IR Blaster, IR Server Suite blasting to SKY TV (NZ) OnDemand set top box (Kaon NS1120).

The F7 chnags aspect, and I think it persists (can't confirm)
Using one of my analog tuners (PVR2000), I only ever got 4:3 from the Skybox.
When I connected the MySky to my 2250 card, it was in 4:3 until I changed t registry settng.

Just open one of your recordings from the PVR150 in media info and see what it says about the aspect and size.
I would have thought it would capture in 720 * 576, which is SD PAL size.

It's strange that you said the aspect ratio worked fine in plex when using the flash player over the HTML5 version.

You're right. The recordings from sky are all at 720x576. So I must have been capturing all along at this and then it is being stretched on playback. Note also I've just tried to reproduce the flash player displaying correctly but can't. Not sure what was going on there, but definitely not working now.

Hmmm... so basically what I've learnt is that the Plex for Android app is incapable of stretching the recordings to 16:9... well at least I haven't found a way to do it.

Any ideas for workarounds? I might have to keep searching for a way to watch npvr recordings on my android devices. I've tried nDroid and now the Npvr Plex channel and both not ideal.

It won't help live TV on your android, but I'd try looking for something which can edit the 4:3 flag to read as 16:9 in commandline.
Then you could post-process the recordings so they display correctly in android, and you won't need to stretch in Npvr.

I'm not sure what to use, as you'd need to leave as TS or update the database for nextpvr (there may be some automated stuff for this in npvr)

Yes though that's the majority of my recordings.

Yeh I thought about post processing but I'm not familiar with how that works. Im not sure but my assumption would be I wouldn't be able to watch an in progress recording this way either. Live TV I'm not concerned about as I have other ways of getting this onto the android devices.

True, won't work for in progress.
if you can find a Hvr-22xx or 11xx might do what you want, the pcie 22xx has 2 tuners, so could replace a pvr150 and dvb-t card.

Your dvb-t card will do analog @16:9, but it's software encoding.

edit: what do you use for live tv on Android outside of plex?

also, while it wont help for live tv...what happens when you add the recordings to a plex library?

I have instructions here: https://sites.google.com/a/andc.co.nz/ex...ex-library
