Any way to share a tuner over the network or watch live tv on a different PC?

Hi Sub, so I set up the share on the desktop and installed npvr on my laptop and put in the server info and told it to act as a client pc. I see the channel lineup and I get video, but I do not get any AC-3 audio. I only get audio on analog channels. On the laptop in the decoders section, the Microsoft DTV-DVD Video decoder is set as the AC-3 audio decoder. Any ideas?

The Microsoft Dolby license is not transferable to other apps. Fortunately there are lots of good options, including AC3Filter, ffdshow, and LAV

Thanks for your help. I installed AC3Filter and it worked beautifully. It's so awesome to be able to watch TV on the laptop now. I wasn't sure if the HD channels would be watchable, but they definitely and use less than 20mbps of bandwidth.

I downloaded the trial version and set it up to share one of my usb-tuners on the server, connected it on my laptop but npvr does not see the device. Is there a trick I need to know?
