log in with the special gbpvr-user, start the registry editor (start -> run -> type 'regedit' without the quotes -> ok.
in the registry editor, go to the "path" HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run create a new string and name it 'gbpvr' or something you like. then doubleclick it and set its value to c:\path\to\gbpvr\goes\here\gbpvr.exe or you can even replace the 'default' shell for this user. so, if you log in with this user, you wont get the taksbar, startmenu, etc.... nothing but gbpvr. take a look here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tips/BootIntoGBPVR

I have one system set up to log directly in to gbpvr (from the wiki tip), but include the My Programs plugin also, so if I must get into the file manager (or anything else) I can do it from within gbpvr!
You can never have enough tuners!

i ones thought (well i'm still thinking) about doing a 'norton commander'-style plugin. of course, i would surely be the only one using this, but hey... *g*
i _loved_ this tool and i am using it until today... i have a port of it on almost every operating system i'm using... (e.g. 'midnight commander' on linux... *gg* even on my nokia 9210 communicator ('redshift commander'))
