Plex Channel for NextPVR

OK followed the instructions above and npvr is now a channel in the plex channels. I've got whats new, live, recordings, upcoming and delete appearing as icons but clicking on any of them I get "Channel not responding". In the settings box the port is 8866 and server name is blank. If I leave it blank or put the server IP address in that (or localhost) you still get the same message.

The usb tv stick seems to be working correctly as dmesg ! grep dvb produces an output and says it's installed. I have not installed tvheadend or any other backend - is that where I'm going wrong?

Also, do I need to put a firewall rule in for 8866?

Where have you installed the nextpvr windows software? You do know that you need that too?

Thanks for the reply. I've tried installing tvheadend as a backend (Ubuntu server) and I'm getting nowhere. I've decided I maybe don't really need the ability to record live tv on the server as I have Sonarr running on it, and a PVR attached to the TV in the lounge. I guess it could be got working, but I don't really want to spend a lot of time and frustration on the process!

tvheadend wont help you....or mythtv, or mediaportal or anything other than nextpvr.....unless you want to rewrite the channel to work with a different pvr backend.

This is a channel for nextpvr, and nextpvr only.

The NPVR channel for plex stopped working for me earlier this week. I get the error "couldn't create the playback session for this item" when trying to watch.

I think I saw that too. I haven't had a chance to check the logs. If it's anything like last time there was nothing in the log. Very annoying to diagnose.

Since ROKU updated software to ver. 7.5 live streaming no longer works. When I attempt to stream a live channel, I get an error message "Video not available". Worked perfectly in ROKU ver 7.2. All other functions seem to be working properly. All functions work in Amazon FireTV Stick including live streaming.

I have the same Roku problem. Worked fine in version 7.2. No longer works in 7.5. I have attached a log.

Yeah sorry guys, I'm a bit dead in the water. I can't see inthe channel what has been broken. I get no live tv or recordings in any client...I see a lot of people talking about the roku client needing an update to change the wait timeout. But I can't control that.
