I am new to NextPVR, I finally gave up on WMC.
I have a Diamond 750 PCI card.

So I kept getting a black screen. I tried every codec option. ffdshow, microsoft, cyperpower, etc.
Nothing would work. I tried messing with it for a few hours.
The scanner found all the channels, they just would not play.

I decided to just keep looking around in the settings as I was on the verge of giving up. The live tv buffer was defaulted to C:\temp. I changed it to D:\ and magically it all started working.
I have no idea how this fixed it.

It works with Kodi without any issues also.

Because the folder temp didn't exist

It should have auto created it or gave a popup saying to either change or create the folder.
Could have saved a lot of time.

It does try to default the recordings directory to a place that exists. I'll double check this relatively new logic.

I did go through and set the recording and all the media folders.
But had the issue of a black screen that I figured was codec related.

I did not really notice there was a Live TV Buffer setting in the Misc section until I just combed through hoping to see some other setting.
But I did see it was C:\Temp and changed it to my other drive and then the TV started working.
In my C drive I do not have a "Temp" folder.
But.... I do have a C:\T folder created yesterday about the time I installed NextPVR.

It is possible it tried to create the "Temp" but a glitch created a "T" folder?
I know I did not create the "T" folder.

I am on Win10 Pro 64bit.
