The movies2 plugin creates the xml fine , then populates the movies and everything looks great... except the movies won't play. I guess the plugin creator isn't around much but would appreciate any suggestions...

Does the movie play in Windows Media Player?

For files that are not .ts files ... NexyPVR asks Windows to play the file using "default" decoders. It may be that you don't have appropriate decoders for this file.

Play one of those mkv files from the same share configured this time in the NextPVR Video Library and post the NPVR log.

Guys
Thanks for your help. Same thing from Video Library, logs attached. I'm using W7 decoders.

As Graham wrote mkv files don't use your decoder choice they use DirectShow defaults. Try installing lav x86
