So I added a short cut to the nrecord.exe to the startup folder and rebooted. This time I got two instances of the nrecord.exe terminal window, but only one windows service start failure, and the nrecord service appears to be running.

I noticed that the ntray application was in the startup folder already. I am assuming that must be what is launching the nrecord service initially.

Anyway, i am up and running again, and I will see if the patch works with the freezing/buffering issue.

I had the freezing issue again. I was running two streams on Kodi. One on the backend and one on the android client, the theory being I could fill the buffer faster, and thus replicate the issue more quickly. Also, the backend client froze as well so I have logs from kodi.

However, this time when I went to look at the buffer folder, all the ts files that had been in there during the stream were gone. I assume this is the patch at work.

In the nrecord log I still see the same error I did before:
2016-09-05 17:51:35.070 [ERROR][10] Live stream expired without 15 second renewal. (handle:170002)

The logs will show that I was messing around with some recordings just prior to the freeze, but I am not sure if that caused it.

Could you zip and upload the contents of

http:/localhost:8866/service?method=recording.recurring.list&filter=pending&sid=default

Not sure if I did this right. There wasn't much in the resulting xml file, but I attached it anyway.

You probably need to compress and upload your npvr.db3 to see what is causing an error.

I am getting an error that the file is too large to upload when I try to attach the zip of my npvr.db3. Its 8mb compressed (43.1 mb uncompressed). Is there a better way to do this?

Upload it somewhere else ie OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Dirve and post a link. You can also empty the guide data from Setup->Channels if you aren't recording right now, and it might be smaller although sometimes you would need to do a sqlite vacuum to make it smaller.

The enabled field field for the recurring recording should be Y/N and yours is blank and NextPVR isn't handling this. Too tell you the truth I am not sure if this is the problem but it is an error. You are doing some adding and deleting of recordings during live tv which might be locking the database in a way that causes a problem for the database engine.

Yeah, this field was causing an issue in his database. I'm not quite sure how it go in that state (maybe by going back to an old version at some stage, but continuing to use a new database, creating a recurring recording, then later coming back to a newer version). Either way, I've updated the application to cleanly detail with this enabled field being null, or containing unexpected data.
