Cannot connect Via Web Browser:8866

NPVR server died today so took the HDD out and put in new box and reinstalled windows to get the box to boot up. Updated windows and installed drivers etc. Copied the two NPVR folders back to their original locations and then installed NPVR over the top. All working OK, excpet I cannot connect to NEWA via the browser.

Have attached the log file which contains an error, but not sure what to do as these folders/files didn't exist before.

Can you try setting that regisrt setting to 1, then restart the recording service and repost the nrecord.log? It should give us a better error message with details about what it's missing.

Registry key didn't exist at all, so have created and then rebooted. Still no joy.

Yeah, I wouldn't have expected it to fix anything. It was just turning on some additional logging.

Regarding up on this registry setting, it sounds like you need to be running fuslogvw.exe from the Windows SDK to view the info it outputs. I've attached a copy of this utility.

Well after a fresh install of windows and a fresh install (no settings copied over) still the same.

In the end I did a fresh install of Windows but 64 bit. Copied the two directories over and then installed NPVR and all is well in the world.

PS it was stopping the NMT as well. Think both use port 8866.

Just need to get a better server now as the replacement is a bit slow.
