Unable to connect to device (IPTV)

I've tried everything I can think of and just cannot get Vaders to work with NextPVR. I'm getting Error [8] when I try playing any channel.

I checked the URLs inside NextPVR for a lot of channels, copied them into VLC, and it plays immediately. Would someone be kind enough to check my log and point me in the right direction?

G'day mate...are you using a client box to connect or are you on the server (NPVR) box trying to connect? Cheers!

I have NextPVR installed on a Win 10 desktop and I haven’t tried using any client yet. Just trying to get it to play in the GUI. Should I try it streaming over my network?

G'day... so you have NPVR installed on a W10 box. What version of W10 is it BTW? Is it version 17XX or 1803?. If you have everything set up correctly, you shoucl be able to go to http//127.0.0.1:8866. If you cannot then something is wrong in your set up. BTW I use Vaders also.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm happy to know you have it working with Vaders.

I am using Win 10 64 bit, 17134.228 (it's an education license if that matters)
I am able to see channels, both in GUI and the localhost address via Chrome. It won't play in either.

After I tried playing it from the 127.0.0.1 address, I checked logs and it's the same error. (Failed to connect to location http://vaders.tv:80/.../3082.ts?....)
In Chrome, at the bottom of the screen it says "Streaming Failed. Transcoder Exited"

And that's got me confused, because I can paste that exact address into VLC and it plays smoothly. So it's not on Vaders end apparently. It's like NPVR has an issue parsing the feed, decoding the video, or accessing the internet. I thought Firewall at first, and completely disabled it, also without luck. I even tried downgrading NPVR to 4.04.

What are you using for decoders?

Thank you for your help so far. I have not had any luck. And for some reason my last post didn't show up.

My Windows version is 1803, and reading about the problems with that update, I decided to try it on a Win 7 64 machine. Same results.

I copied the URLs of a few channels from NPVR into VLC, with a lot of success. But playing those same channels in NPVR fails every time. I'm not sure why, especially since the URL was copied directly from NPVR.

G'day mate...I am using LAV as my decoder throughout. You can either get them from LAV direct or from K-Lite. I got mine through K-Lite because it uses less overhead resources and works just fine. Also regarding version 1803 yes, you will have some connection problems when using client/server (NPVR) environment but that is simple to overcome. I too am using 1803 on all my computers and I along with others have posted here regarding fixes. My environment is both Domain and Workgroup. Here is my setup as an FYI...

Some additional shots plus I forgot to mention that if you are using DHCP I suggest that you give your PC a static IP because this will come into play once you do get your box up and running and implement client/server (NPVR). The 1803 has some issues with DHCP along with other things but a static IP seemed to fix some.

I think snaitaz is taking you in the wrong direction and you need to figure out why this error is occurring. It seems you aren't able to connect.

Maybe you need to turn off a VPN?
