I put together a PVR system with some leftover parts.
Biostar MB with AMD 1.3ghz processor
384mb ram
40gb Maxtor HD
10bm Ethernet
SIS 6326 AGP <<< (ancient)
Sapphire Theater 550 Pro (new)
Xp home
GB-PVR
Its working quite well, even the unsupported SIS graphics card produces pretty good results although I have to gently persuade the picture show up when starting live TV or a recording and can only run in windowed mode.
My question is: If I were to add a MediaMVP to this setup, it really doesnât matter what video card is in the PC, right??
I would like to use the PC with GB-PVR as a server and only view it from the PC âconsoleâ when needed.
Does anybody know of any reason that this would not work?
Thanks
