Recording service not running at recording time

It's in \Users\Public\npvr\

Make sure you use a text editor like notepad or similar to edit it - maybe make a backup copy before you try to change it.

Slightly different symptoms for me but may work in other situations.
Installed latest client (3.8.3) on Windows 10 64Bit.
A manual or schedule recording would result in an error message along the lines of "service not running" even though a quick check would show the service was running.
All I did was change the Properties of the NRecord.exe(?) service to "Run as Administrator" - now working faultlessly.
