Metadata Record screen uses to different formats

Not so much a bug as UI consistency thing.

Depending upon the number of episodes, The Metadata Record screen seems to use one of two formats. One format is used when there is only one episode and the other format is used when there are two or more episodes. IMHO you should use the format for 2 or more episodes when there is only one episode.

Yes, it's intentional. One was really aimed at movies, and the other was aimed at episodic shows where you'd have multiple recordings.

Yep true - but it was the best I could come up with at the time. The multiple file screen is required for series etc, but not a great use of the space when show details about movies etc. I thought it'd be a shitty compromise to force movies to be displayed in the multi-file screen (ie, picture that bottom screenshot for movies, with nothing in the top half)

I'm happy to take layout suggestions if anyone has them.

An easy tweak that might suit some users, is to only use the single file screen if the recording metadata indicated it was a movie, and everything else would use the multi-file screen.

The other layout option I'd considered was three columns. Buttons on the left, details in the middle, and the file selection on the far right. In the case of single file (like movie), this far column was just not shown, possibly allowing the middle column to be wider (but items like title, subtitle etc being largely in the same place, just allowing for wider content).

actually I should take that back a bit; the single-episode screen is better now than it used to be... i think in the past it gave a description of the show rather than the episode, which was useless. now I see it does give an episode description. the single-episode screen needs season/episode info and the recording date and time.
