I'd reboot and then do the manual EPG update at this point to get that bad batch file out of the equation.

Appears that everything ran as expected this time. UpdateEPG completed in a matter of seconds. PostUpdateEPG ran without interruption. I'll try recording something this morning.

It is hard to say because these logs were grabbed before the 3am update but at least there is a NextEnd log now so I can see it ran. There should have been a line in NReocrd when the EPG was updated telling it to relaoad but perhaps it was cached. It would be worth compressing and uploading your logs again.

Appears that NextEnd ran and all indications are that the batch files ran, except there was no recording to apply ComSkip to. Log attached,

It looks like you should have recordings scheduled but NRecord doesn't log anything about them. Maybe my version is different but I would expect to see them. Do you have a PostStartup.bat? If so it might be bad too because I think thread [9] is stalled in those logs.

Did these record successfully?

I confirmed here that if PostStartup doesn't exit the most import thread stops and files stay Pending as reported. While NRecord is scheduling events it doesn't load them for recording, wake up etc. Because of the nature of the error fixing the batch file and restarting the service isn't good enough, a reboot will be required to clear port 8968

Nothing worked, so I decided to byte the bullet and uninstall/reinstall NextPVR, expecting to have to redo all my settings. Great News: Got Recordings. Programs that hadn't recorded and previously still showed up as pending showed up as Failed. But, to my surprise, all my settings were still there.

Had three batch files in "Scripts" - PostStartUp, ParallelProcessing and PostUpdateEpg which didn't keep things from running, but also didn't process ComSkip.

Bad News in Settings: TV Listings and TV Recordings still appear on Plugins page even though I had deleted them. Genre Coloring set on Misc2 doesn't work. In Recordings "Sort" works, but "Filter" doesn't. Any way to get NextPVR back to it's virgin state?

Next Up: Find sports to record to test NextEnd extending sports and subsequent programs. Explore NexPVR config to see what features of TV Listings and/or GuidePlus that I was interested in implementing are now built into NextPVR as someone mentioned earlier.

Unisntall NextPVR ... then go to C:\Users\Public and delete the NPVR folder ... for completeness, you can also delete the NPVR folder in C;\Program Files or in C:\Program Files (X86)

My advice would be to uninstall NextPVR, delete the NPVR folder in Users\Public and then re-install NextPVR and get that working and doing recordings before you start with NextEnd or Comskip or anything else. Then, change one thing at a time ... for example, do NextEnd and only NextEnd and nothing but NextEnd until NextEnd is working as you want it ... and then do, for example, Comskip.
