I have two questions related to XRecord that I've yet to find answers to:

1. Is there any way to specify how many episodes of a show I want recorded? I'd like to set it up so that I can record 3 eps of one show, 5 of another, etc.

2. In the Scheduler, after a show has been scheduled, there are several options which can be modified. One is 'DuplicateScheduled', and it is set to false in my case. What does this mean exactly?

1) no. sub added that for the recording plugin but did not expose an api yet for the developers. You can always use the regular recording plugin to set up reoccurring. And xrecord for everything else.

2) I think it means that if the show is already scheduled it will not reschedule a new occurance (for example show is on twice a week it will only schedule one to be recorded)

Thanks for the reply, Jorm. If I use the regular recording plugin for reoccuring shows that I want to limit recordings of, will duplicates be recorded? I've been using the regular plugin and it seems that I'm getting dupes of shows that I've watched and deleted. Is the use of XRecord's Scheduler required to prevent this?

rectracker will prevent this. No matter what plugin you use. You just have to enable the purge in the postupdateepg.bat

There are a couple of utilities out (do a search in the developers forum), that will allow you to only record a certain number of episodes and then start deleting the oldest episodes. ZaddaZ wrote one that I use called MaxRecordings. I don't use the built in scheduler so having this external utility is still beneficial to me.
