Option to disable transcoding?

Hi!

It seems that any web interface will not show in Edge. Now I wonder how to disable transcoding in order to save limited resources. I'm aware that it would be impossible to play all national channels still on MPEG-2, but that's less important. Add filter by service type on Now page?

If you run VLC on that machine, and open http://127.0.0.1:8866/live?channel=4, does it play?

Not only that. I found that even some browsers like Opera will play it inside simple html5 page.
It might be useful to add optional EPG parameter which would enable VLC to display current song?

I have no problem using the NEXTPVR web Modern interface in Edge. As to turning transcoding off, HTML5 does not support MPEG2, therefore any video that uses the MPEG2 codec has to be transcode to a video codec that HTML supports -MPEG4.

Edge problem is only present on unusual setups - #10142843:eek:
NPVR will also try and fail transcode any MPEG-4/radio channel which could be played in simplest HTML5 page.
