Does the set top box receive updates to its internal software from the broadcast stream? Honestly, I am not sure. I assume it does?

Has the set top box received some kind of reset from the broadcast stream? Once again, I am unsure. not sure how I can find out though

Does the set top box have a settings menu where the "sleep" timeout is specified? Yes, but, it doesn't specify the issue I am having. The sleep mode, after 4 hours, shuts the receiver off completely......which is currently disabled

I truly give up....

For days, this has continued to lag......no matter what codes I put in, no matter how many pauses I enter in the batch file.

Now, today, the IR blaster is completely dead. Wont even flash with activity anymore. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, unplugged the PVR USB cable, plugged it back in and tried a different USB Port, tried the original software (to eliminate it being something in the NPVR software), restarted the PC several times.........nothing........this baby is dead

I bought it June of last year......so, I assume it is still under warranty.....I am HOPING it is only the IR Blaster and not the unit itself....it still streams fine but wont change channels at all anymore

I am getting worried though because I cant seem to find a replacement IR blaster for this unit if I need to order one my self. It is a "Hauppauge 1212 HD-PVR High Definition Personal Video Recorder"

One thing after another :/

The USBUIRT works on any STB and also is a receiver for remote control. BTW, if you have a digital camera you can check if the blaster outputs anything, our eyes can't see the light from an IR blaster but most digital cameras can Wink

Why buy anything when you likely have your plan "c" for http tuning.

Simply because I feel like a pain in the "a$$" to everyone. I know nothing about how to set something like this up. i would LOVE to just use that. Is it something easy? can you walk me through some steps?

Get dtvtune here https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthr...ostcount=1 install it wherever you want and follow the instructions in 3.c to update your batch file to use the dtvtune command instead of haupblast.

You may wish to test the command line from a command shell first to confirm it is working to tune your STB

Thank you. Gonna mess with this tonight....do I have to pay attention to any other of the steps? The REGEDIT or the other downloads?
