Is NRecord.exe the only NextPVR element that "talks" to the network tuners I have?

If I have two NextPVR servers on the same LAN but the recording service is stopped on one of them, will there be any interference between servers? Will the server with the running service have any problems?

I'm experimenting...

Thanks for your indulgence.

nrecord.exe is the only thing that uses the tuners, with the exception of when you're doing a channel scan (when nextpvr.exe also uses the tuners).

No, but the backend will only access the network tuner for live tv/recordings and potentially EPG updates, so if you stop the recording service on one, you won't have any conflicts assuming you aren't running another client like the HDHomerun View.

Excellent!

I'm trying to figure out the zero-length file issue from another thread and wanted to set up an alternate server to help. Results are interesting.

Thank you both for your input.
