I think calling it great is a stretch although the few users who read about this on the wiki (if it is even updated!) will save a few hundred clicks a year. The bigger problem IMO is that setting a recurring record takes a minimum of 10 clicks. Assuming a users could set their preferred Record type (I pretty much only use Recurring New) and the focus was on OK, only 5 clicks would be required. Either way I doubt people add 50 new shows a season, so how big a deal is this?

It would cause great discomfort for me and my Parkinson's. I would need an option to turn off double clicks or everything would be a recorded series and then I might just have to fight somebody. lol.

If you haven't broken it at least once, you're not doing it right.
The double button toggle is implemented on all Direct TV and Dish boxes. It actually works like this: Press record once to record just the selected show. Press twice to record the shows series. Press the third time to undo any recording at all. They make it look and seem very simple. As new shows come out in the US we usually press twice to record the new series and then later delete the series when it turns out to stink.
