When I attempt to play a recording or live TV, usually right after I have started NextPVR, the video and audio do not start. I need to restart play a couple of times before video and audio kick in. I have changed video decoders, but it does not seem to improve this situation. I have used LAV video decoders, Mainconcept (HCW) MPEG 2, Microsoft DTV-DVD.

Also, I am seeing problems with video playback using LAV decoders, video may stall or breakup during playback.

Using version 4.0.4 (170731)
PC - windows home 10
SSD
i3-2130 CPU 3.40GHz
Nvidia GTX 750-ti

You need to post your logs.

When using LAV video decoder make sure that Settings>Decoders>Renderers>'Use Legacy NPVR TS Reader and Miscroft Demutiplexe'r is UNTICKED.
Server:
CPU- Intel I5-8400, Ram -12GB, SSD - 128GB, HDD - 1TB, Turners - Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD, OS - Win 10 Home, Router - TP-Link Archer C7(AC1750).

Clients:
Intel NUC CPU - Intel N3700, RAM - 4GB, SSD - 128GB, OS - Win 10, Wired Ethernet.

I understand. The problem is intermittent, so it may some time before I am able to reproduce. Will send logs next time it happens.

Re: LAV, I am using the new NextPVR demux.

Does it work if you tick the 'use legacy reader and demux' setting on the Settings->Decoders screen?

I have been using NextPVR over 1 1/2 years. This was never a problem until the most recent update. The problem is intermittent, usually when I have just loaded or reloaded NextPVR recording service. It may take two or three starts to get the video/audio to play. After that I have no problem for an extended time. I ticked the 'use legacy reader and demux' setting on the Settings->Decoders screen. I will run it in the legacy mode and report back, but no problem so far.

Recent update ver. 4.0.4.170820 seems to have resolved this issue.
