Stuttering on Watching but not on playback of Recording

I'm very new to nPVR and am doing a proof of concept test.

I've installed correctly and am able to Watch and Record. When Watching, the screen immediately displays an error "Missing Audio? You don't have AAC decoder selected. You can fix this in settings". However after a few seconds this error disappears and sound appears. But the stuttering is extreme. But if I Record the same show then the replay of the recording works OK.

Using the advice in that thread I have installed LAV codecs and these fixed an original problem of no sound at all.

My source stream is IPTV.
nPVR v4.0.4 170731

I extracted the file "unmanaged.dll" (1/08/2017 13;15 1,225KB) and use it to replace the same in NPVR/web/bin 31/07/2017 13;15 1,225KB)

No change in behaviour :-(

The file that you need to replace is at \Program Files(x86)\NPVR\ (assuming 64-bit Windows).

There have been several patches to the current version. You could try this collection of patched files ... https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...post517734

I expect that Sub (our Great Leader and author of NextPVR) will soon bundle all this up into a new release. At the moment he seems to be a bit distracted by the need to do paid work so that he can feed his children.

Graham. Thanks again. Whilst you were writing this I applied update 170820 and this works a treat. Not so much as a flicker. Impressive. Now to source a tuner and tackle the IPTV EPG channel mapping issues.
