Sports Auto-Extend Not Working?

I was testing out the sports auto-extend feature, and I'm having no luck. During an NBA game tonight, my DVR ended the recording at the scheduled finish, even though the game was not over. The game was Clippers vs. Blazers, and the network was NBC Sports Northwest. It was recorded via HDHomeRun Prime, and I have a Schedules Direct account being used for the guide. I do have the sports extension option enabled in NextPVR settings, but since I'm new to the product, it's possible I'm simply making an error.

I've attached the portion of the record log from tonight's recording (I can provide more if needed). Any advice? Thank you!

It'll only know to auto extend sports events if Schedules Direct tells it to, and it looks like Schedules Direct hasn't told it to. (it'd have messages saying "SchedulesDirect indicates sports event is still going. Extending end time for 2 minutes..." if this had happended)

Any recommendations on how to reach out to Schedules Direct to ask about this? I attempted to post to their forum, but the post has not received moderator approval after 36 hours. I checked SD with my NextPVR sports extender NextEnd and SD does seem to be broken for in-progress and completed games right now. It is returning 6001 (Queued) rather than 0 with a status.

Note if this is the case I think may have a bug since it is feasible to get a 6001 on the first request for an event in North America and NextPVR should try again after 30 seconds. Unfortunately there is no logging NextPVR for 6001/6002 errors.


The good news is NextEnd should still be running normally.

Thanks, that's great feedback. I was considering trying NextEnd in case it was an issue with the NextPVR implementation.

Looks like my post was just approved at Schedules Direct, they must have just been busy or distracted.

If you're able to reproduce the problem regularly, I could look to provide you an updated dll with extra logging.

It'll currently only log if there was an error returned from SD, or if SD returned a result indicating the recording should be extended. Neither of those were logged.

All concluded NBA and NHL games right now return 6001 and not 0 right now. Some to try include SP003689400000 and SP003707360000

If you are ready before 12:30 Eastern there is an NFL game SP003666130000 on now but it too is returning 6001. Otherwise try SP003666150000 for a 1pm Eastern start it will return 6002 until then. For a later 4pm game there is SP003666220000

Baseball is broken because the World Series has EP unique IDs (instead of SP) which neither SD or NextPVR support. It works in NextEnd from my alternate source.
