ComSkip not Working for Me

I was going to upload the .edl file and .txt files from recent examples of each but there is no longer a link to select files, so I will include in another post.

Made change to comskip.ini I can now drop .ts files on comskip.exe to get a .edl file. With recording I now get no .edl file or a 0 kb .edl file and no commercial skips in the time line. I've tried parallel processing and post processing with the same results. I've attached the most recent batch files as well as my log.

Your NCIS LA log file shows that comskip only found and processed 120 frames. I'm pretty sure that is because you tried to run it in parallelprocessing.bat, but don't have comskip properly configured for parallelprocessing, so when it was launched, the recording file only had 120 frames in it for comskip to process.

Please stop trying to run comskip in parallelprocessing.bat as instructed before in post #11. Just include it once in the postprocessing.bat file! Also, please take Martin's advice and set edl_skip_field=3 in your comskip.ini file. (That won't affect your current problem, but will avoid issues later.)

The comskip.ini is self documented and we reasonably expect that you would want to read it before posting. You might be interested in this line

The NCIS LA log file that I looked at showed he did have live_tv=1. But he didn't change live_tv_retries to something >0 to tell it to actually retry reading after it hits the end of the file.
