Sleep mode causes WAF to drop tremendously when one of her shows doesn't get recorded because Windows decided to not wake up. It doesn't happen often, but Murphy's Law guarantees it typically happens with a show that she really wanted to record. :o And indeed, the deal with the power button on the remote being out of sync with the power status of the PC was an issue as well. I just keep my NPVR server running all the time. It's worth the extra 80 cents per month for a happy wife.
It would be awesome if there was a way that we could enable the "Power On" command and disable the "Power Off/Standby" command for the PC somehow. That standby command doesn't check to see if any programs are running that should prevent the system going to sleep. It's a crude, blunt instrument that puts the system to sleep, right now, without asking anyone's permission.
