I have Kodi 17.3 on my Amazon Fire TV box, an HDHomerun (HDHR4-2US) connected to my network (and the app installed on my Fire TV box), and NextPVR running 24/7 on my Windows 10 x64 machine. Everything including DVR works fine in Kodi. Is it possible to display icons for each channel, and to make the show tiles larger? They are too small for me to see the description in most cases unless I highlight each one.

If you have png/jpg channel icon files in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Media\Channels, with the name matching the channel name, then they will be used in NextPVR's guide, and also sent to Kodi for it's guide.

I'm not sure if you can control the text size in Kodi. To get a bigger font you probably need to change the skin you're using.

It's not the font size, but is the box size I am taking about. The shows that are under an hour have small boxes vs 1 hour or longer shows stretch the box out farther to the right, making it nearly impossible to see the whole show title without highlighting it.

I like to be able to see what show is in each box without having to highlight ones I can't read (ex: a 30 minute show has a small box, which cuts off the text).

What screen are you describing? NextPVR has no control over the layout of screens in Kodi.

Yeah, that stuffs all controlled by Kodi itself.

I am talking about the TV Guide/Timeline screen. Please see the photo. The 30 minute show boxes are too small, and cut off the test. I would like the boxes larger, so none of the test is cut off.

Also, rather than having the channels numbers be 1 through whatever, is it possible to list the actual channel numbers (2.1, 11.3, etc).

NextPVR isn't displaying those screens, so has no control over it. This is Kodi and it's skin. You'd find its the same regardless of what PVR backend you're using.

If you were using the NextPVR UI, it's pretty straight forward. You can just go to the Settings->Misc2 screen, and change the 'TV Guide Minutes' settings. I don't think there is an equivalent function in Kodi.

I'm not in a country that uses these major.minor numbers, but I think you can get Kodi to use the original channel numbers using a setting in Kodi called something like 'use backend channel numbers'

Sub,

Thank you for the reply. I got Kodi to show actual channel numbers (there are four entries for channel 5, and while they don't say 5.1, 5.2, etc this is close enough). I suppose I should go to the Kodi forum for my other issues.

Thanks guys!

Kodi shows major minor so maybe it is your skin at fault. Switch to the default skin to confirm before posting there
