Hi all,

I just recently installed NPVR mainly to watch live TV (recording would be a bonus). The channels and guide have successfully loaded but I am not able to connect to and channels. They only thing out of the ordinary I altered, I believe, is the recording and buffering directories as I don't want them being stored on my main SSD. Please see attached for my zipped logs. Any help would be appreciated!

The tasks npvr.exe, nrecord.exe and ndigitalhost.exe need to be allowed through your firewall (including when NextPVR is running on a single machine). The install process should change the firewall settings for the firewall that is built into Windows.

All NextPVR settings are saved in npvr.db3 and config.xml at Users\Public\NPVR ... Copy these files to save them ... uninstall and reinstall ... copy the saved files back ... the re-install should fix the Windows firewall settings.

Have you rebooted since installing?

Usually the recording service would be started at the install. The logs you attached look like recording service wasn't started until after your tried watching live tv.

Thank you so much! That worked. I'm an idiot and thought I had rebooted already. Is there a way to Update the EPG for a longer timeframe? It only shows the the show information for less than 12 hours.

Unfortunately the broadcasters in the US typically only transmit a few hours of listings, which is next to useless. Pretty much everyone in that part of the world is using a Schedules Direct account for their TV listings.
