NextPVR does not utilize all 4 tuners

I have the quad tuner card by Hauppauge.
The other night I was recording 3 programs that used 3 of the 4 tuners.
Knowing that a 4th tuner was available, I wanted to watch live TV using Kodi.
When I clicked on the channel, a Kodi error message appeared that stated a tuner was not available.
I checked my NextPVR computer and the status showed only 3 tuners being utilized.

I've also had the problem of watching live TV using Kodi and losing the tuner when 2 previously scheduled recordings began.

I've included the pertinent logs for your inspection.
My OS is Windows 10
My NextPVR version is 4.0.5 (171208)

In the for what it's worth department, I recently performed a reinstall of Windows 10 and reloaded all drivers for the quad tuner card as a fresh install. I also did a fresh install of NextPVR.

Any ideas why NextPVR doesn't think the 4th tuner is not available.

I've included the pertinent logs for your inspection.

You actually didn't include the most important one, the Kodi debug log. As well you only sent the log for only tuner, and only included the recent NRecord.log after rollover, best to send all the logs and not guess what we need.

Typically the error has nothing to do with tuners so it is misleading, basically it just means Kodi cannot connect to the NextPVR server for any number of reasons. In your case however I do see that that one of your tuners is misbehaving (#20) for at least a couple of days.

The date was 3/12/18 19:59:00 when the recordings started. I attempted to view at about the same time.

The logs I sent all had the current date which was 3/12/18. I actually copied the files to my desktop in order to preserve the information in them. It did not make sense to send log files for the earliet dates.
I found a crash log from kodi with the tuner not available message at 20:02:54

Your best bet is to ignore the past, reboot and try a test of four simultaneous recordings in NextPVR (ignoring Kodi altogether) to see if the tuner is working.

Your best bet is to ignore the past, reboot and try a test of four simultaneous recordings in NextPVR (ignoring Kodi altogether) to see if the tuner is working.

I forgot to mention that I got the "Tuner Not Available" error message on 2 different Kodi units. I could only find a suitable log to post for one of the units.

I will replicate the problem following your directions.

Here's a log detailing the stolen tuner problem on 3/20/18

Prior to 7:59pm I was watching live TV on Kodi box 2
At 7:59pm 2 recordings began on different channels using Demod/Tuner 2 and Demod/Tuner 2.1
At 7:59pm, kodi box 2 froze because it lost the tuner it was using for live TV after the recordings began.
At 8:00 the Device Status screen showed the following:
Tuner/Demod 1 was free
Tuner/Demod 2 was recording
Tuner/Demod 2.1 was recording
Tuner/Demod 2.2 was free

At 8:01 I rebooted Kodi box 2
At 8:03pm Kodi box 2 reported that a tuner was not available.
At 8:05pm I played a live TV channel on the nextPVR back end server that was not being recorded
At 8:08 both Kodi units were able to play the same live TV channel using Tuner/Demod 2.2
At 8:10 the Device Status screen showed the following:
Tuner/Demod 1 was free
Tuner/Demod 2 was recording
Tuner/Demod 2.1 was recording
Tuner/Demod 2.2 was playing 2 live TV streams

At the time, kodi box 2 froze, there were 3 free Tuner/Demods free.
Why did NextPVR back end decide to steal a tuner in use to record on?

I've attached all the logs with today's date 3/20/2018 including the logs for Kodi box 2.

Those logs show the NextPVR Kodi timeshifting bug but not time it started. You also didn't do the test I was asking for. Again you missed the logs for all tuner, use the zip logs option on the set-up menu.
