is there any way to select what audio stream is used for playback i just tried a recording and by default its playing the stream that is narration for the blind. same for live tv to on that channel

At this stage it's only able to use the default audio stream in the file.
Can you supply a short sample recording though - I'll find a way to get it working for you.

Can you see if this patch helps with playing recordings from this channel?
Longer term, I'll add some settings in the Android app to allow you to select the audio stream.
