Thanks sub. Just got it for my version 6.0.1 phone. Will put it on my 4.0.4 tablet as soon as the Play Store updates. It still has 1.2.180325 and March 24 as last update and version. I really appreciate the version support.

Nice! So I purchased the app from the PlayStore to help support the development. I currently use Kodi and the NPVR-Plugin and it works well but choppy at times. I would like to see comskip work but understand that currently HTTP streaming would not work since comskip has a separate file with information on when to skip the commercials. So maybe SMB support on local network?

I am also very interested in remote access use since I travel. Currently I copy the recordings to my device the night before I travel so I have them to watch on the plane. However when I am away for extended time it would be nice to be able to watch remotely and cast to hotel TV.

Can this be set to work with the local network auto discovery in addition to an external hostname/IP address (Port configuration as well - I do not use the default port externally)? With this, internal/external access would be seamless. Ceton developed an app for Windows Media Center that worked fantastically for internal and external DVR management - The exact functionality I've been missing since changing to NextPVR/KODI. Ceton's implementation did not use discovery. It simply asked for Internal and External Host/IP/Port information.

The above would turn into an instant purchase for me and other people I've setup.

I'll add the ability to optionally enter an address, like you can with the iOS app. The app will remember the address, so you don't have to type it in each time - you can just select from a list. This will probably be included in the next release.

Might an Android TV version be in consideration? In addition to STBs, I expect that TV manufacturers will continue to use Android TV. Sony has been onboard for a while a Westinghouse is set to release budget sets later this year running Android TV.

I'm experimenting with an Android TV app, but I couldn't tell you when that might be available.

At the moment, it's limited to local network (does auto discovery of NextPVR server etc). If it's something people are looking for, I could easily add support for entering a server address, to allow remote access (user would need to expose 8866)

I use Noip so a domain name or an ip address setting would be great! It connected right away on my home network.

There shouldn't be a limitation around this. Can you post the question in the Android Client forum, and I'll help you work through it.
