The backlog log files have a .1 .2 or .3 extension and windows doesn't (by default) know what sort of files they are or which app to use to open them. If you right click and select open with..., select notepad and tick the box to "Always use this app to open this type of file". then windows will use notepad to open this files by default in the future.
It would have been neater if Sub had retained the .txt extension for the log backups to retain the correct file type reference within windows without needing these additional file type definitions to be added to the registry..... (eh Sub :-) but doing it the way it is is easier from a programming perspective and it's a non-event for us users once you have performed the above steps.
