Video breaking up and audo broken

Hello,
I am new to Nextpvr. Just started a second PVR and am having Audio/Video issues. Can someone tell me if it is a Internet speed issue or hardware issue? I have included the logs. Thank you,

If you do recording and play the file with another player, like VLC, does it play smoothly or show problems there too?

It happens within kodi on any random channel. The Audio arrives first followed by the video. The video is not smooth. I can channel up and down then back to the channel in question and it may play smooth with audio synced up.

Playing the recording is fine. It is the live video that is an issue which leads me to believe it is a transport issue kodi. I can record the same program and it plays back perfectly.
I also have noticed that if I pause, Fast forward ets a lot the app freezes and I have to reboot kodi. I am about to try a second kodi box.

How do I tell if I am using VLC player? I am using kodi when all this happens. I am using the player that came loaded with kodi.

VLC is a standalone player from https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html.
If you play with VLC, and there is problems with the file in VLC, then it's likely a recording issue (likely related to signal quality etc). If you play with VLC, and there is no problems there, but there is problems in Kodi with the same file, then it's probably a Kodi issue.

will kodi use vlc when i am watchimg live tv? it seems to only be a live tv issue. I do not seem to have a issue with recorded content. if it is an issue with kodi can you point me in the right dirrection to resolve the issue? this issue is the only thing holding me from rolling this out on a full scale to my friends and family. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your time. VLC is a video player in the same way that Windows Media Player is a video player. The advantage of testing with VLC is that VLC uses completely different software to Kodi and NextPVR and helps us to identify the source of the problem. Testing with VLC is probably not helpfiul if recordings are okay and the problem is only with Live TV. Does Live TV work okay using NextPVR on the computer where NextPVR is installed? Does Live TV work okay using Kodi on the computer where NextPVR is installed?

Thank you for responding. Live TV and recordings seem to work fine in Nextpvr on the computer it is installed on. I do not have kodi installed on the same computer that Nextpvr is installed yet. The problems seem to be within kodi on a android box on the network.
If it is a kodi issue what specs should I bee looking for to run Nextpvr on kodi? Thank you, |
