Thank you for responding. Live TV and recordings seem to work fine in Nextpvr on the computer it is installed on. I do not have kodi installed on the same computer that Nextpvr is installed yet. The problems seem to be within kodi on a android box on the network.
If it is a kodi issue what specs should I bee looking for to run Nextpvr on kodi?

It might be a network issue. NextPVR streams to Kodi without transcoding so the full broadcast stream is sent across the network. It might be that your network struggles to keep up with a full broadcast stream of Live TV. It might be that Kodi buffers the playback of recordings so that there are no glitches.

Since you didn't provide the Kodi debug log it is hard to comment, we don't know which Kodi, which Android or or which hardware platform you are talking about. If your box can't do h/w playback of mpeg video or h/w deinterlacing you will certainly have problems with 1080i. Like Graham posted wifi playback of HD can also be an issue.

Thank you for responding. Enclosed are the log files. I have also enclosed the details of my eqpt that I am using.
I am using an Android 7.1.2 MXQ pro 4k 64-bit 1G+8GB ddr4 HD 3D Smart Quad Core TV Box S905W. I Have tried 2 of them.
The network eqpt is a TP-LINK TL-WR841N router. I am just running my WIN 10 PC and a android box on a wired network.
The Computer is a win 10 Home Intel Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10 GHz 4.0 GB RAM 64 bit operating system.
It seems to only be in Kodi that I have this issue. I just had it happen again and went to record the channel then Kodi froze. Had to reboot Kodi.
I am at wits end here. I need to find what the problem is. Perhaps someone can tell me what eqpt they are using? At this point I am willing to try anything.

Happened again. Was recording a few channels and kodi froze then I got the PVR tuner not available error.

Does it happen with Kodi on your Win 10 machine, or only Android?

Yep, but have you also got Kodi on that machine? It'd definitely be worth checking if you have the same issue on Kodi on Windows.

I've heard numerous reports of generate Kodi issues with video playback on Android, and was curious if this is a general Android thing, rather than the nextpvr addon itself.

For Kodi on Amlogic S905 devices without a doubt the recommendations I have read are to run LibreElec if possible to get better Kodi performance.

OK, Just installed kodi17.6 on a win 10 machine. I get the same results as I do on my android boxes.

Just an FYI. Just port forwarded the NextPVR and it works correctly as a server to the outside world. I am just having a problem with streaming to Kodi within the house/Network. This is just the last hurdle I have having. Can Nextpvr be used as a client within the nework in place of Kodi?
