NPVR.log.1 shows your tuner failing to lock into a signal on the com7 or com8 frequencies which points to a poor signal or a bad cable connection or both. Might be worth trying a new connector on the co-ax cable... What tuner(s) are you using and how old are they?

Not so much something has happened to the aerial - more that the aerial is no longer suitable.

Up until the 7th of March you needed a Group A aerial for the Fenton Transmitter which is good for the bottom 1/3 of the frequency spectrum.
On 07/03/2018 there was a re-tune event. (New tuning ini available here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...post522036 although I think Sub has included them in the latest installer.) This moved COM7 & COM8 up to Channels 55 & 56 well out of the A band.

You will need a Wideband Aerial (Group T) - although my personal preference is a Log Periodic Aerial, which is what all the Repeater Transmitters use to get their feeds.

it is possible that you are entitled to a free aerial upgrade - For more information or help with this call the Freeview Advice Line on freephone 0808 100 0288

I am in the same situation with my local transmitter Ridge Hill which has always been a Group A area using the lowest frequencies between 470-570Mhz. However since the recent retune Com7 & Com8 mux have moved to around 750Mhz well outside the group A range so have lost those channels. I didnt get a so called Wideband Yagi aerial as they have hardly any gain at the lowest frequencies. I am considering getting a log periodic and looking at the specs they have gains around 10-12dbi which is around 8-10db real gain which is better than the "wideband" yagi aerials at low frequencies. However I am not sure its worth doing for me as I have a DVB-S/S2 tuner so get the main missing channels via Freesat. Then of course Com7 & Com8 are only temporary and will be switched off in 2 or 3 years!

There is some debate about this - Channel 56 &57 are going to be used UK wide for COM7 & COM8 for a good reason - they are in the guard band between the transmit and receive blocks for 5G, so until someone with more money comes along, they ought to be usable for TV Transmission in the Medium Term.

Definitely a low cost contract aerial - an aerial installer would have paid well under a tenner for one of those (possibly back in the 70's or 80's). If indeed it is a Group A aerial - and it most likely will be, you have no chance of getting COM7 or COM8.
I would contact Freeview on that help no I gave you and check with them to see if you are entitled to a free upgrade - tell them you have not been able to get BBC 4 HD since March.
If you are prepared to spend a bit of money upgrading, I would go for a log periodic, although finding an installer prepared to install one might take some time.
At a previous address, after installing one myself in the loft and finding I still had signal problems (later found to be caused by insufficient power from USB onboard sockets to power tuner) I got an installer to move it to the outside.
He looked at it as though it was something used in witchcraft and tried to sell me a "bigger one" for three times the price I had just paid. After he had fitted & aligned it, he couldn't believe the gain on it - almost had to fit an attenuator.

I've recently installed a Log 36 in the loft from that company that Graham linked to - good signal most of the time - engineering work permitting.

You can't tell the group just by looking at it. It's the length of the metal loop where the cable connects that governs the frequencies it's best at receiving. Having spent years in the TV trade, I agree with Lao Pan. That's a cheap low gain aerial and almost certainly a Group specific one (not wideband) and if it's Group A, It won't get good signals on Com7 & Com8.
I also agree a Log Periodic aerial is the way to go.
