NextPVR Android client now available

A new 1.4.180515 release of the Android app was posted today.

Added 'Resume' button in Recordings.
Added Search screen
Guide time format now using devices configured time format.
Fixed bug where last channel wasn't listed in guide screen.
Further improvements for using application with Android TV.
Android remotes with FF/RW, will skip forward/back a minute. Also handling play/pause button on remotes with dedicated buttons for these.
Reduced spacing on Settings screen, to better fit some phones

Thanks for all the work you doing on this.

I found direct play has to be disabled for resume and FF/RW to work thought you like to know.

A new 1.4.180601 release of the Android app was posted today:

Guide now shows current show names in the visible area, to minimize the need to scroll back to see current show names.
Changed the refresh strategy on the Guide screen, so scrolling past channels with no listings will not cause the scroll to stop quickly.
Fixed issue that would cause guide to snap back to current time when scrolling.
Fixed issue where 'watch' button on currently airing show would attempt to schedule a recording
Fixed issue where current selected show in TV guide wouldn't show as red if it was a pending recording
Fixed issue where show details screen would still think a show is scheduled for recording, even though it had been cancelled. (ie, would just show 'cancel' button)
Fixed issue where navigating guide the selected show could go off the bottom of the screen, or be partially off top/bottom of the screen

Just took a minute to purchase this app, primarily as a nifty way to support your overall efforts. As a bonus, it'll be nice to schedule recordings remotely via VPN. Thank you for your work!

You should already be able to do this. What happened when you tried? You'll likely need to manually "Add" the server, but other than this it should function the same remotely.

Anyone ever test this with Nvidia Shield TV or is it not recommended for this device? (Sorry if this is what has been referenced as "Android TV", I never used that Term for Shield.)

I'm not sure you can get it onto a NVidia Shield TV at this stage.

The app originally started out recently as an exclusively phone/tablet app, but I have been working to make it remote friendly, for use on Android TV and other android boxes. I primarily use an NVidia Shield for my development and testing of this, but at this stage it's still not marked as a Android TV app in the Play Store, so not listed as available for these types of device. I'm not sure if it can be side loaded on this device or not. I was holding off officially adding Play Store support for this type of device before it's ready, because I don't want bad reviews/ratings.

Purchased, mainly to Support your efforts....But It's absolutely PERFECT for NVidia Shield TV 500Gb! Your THE BEST! Thank you so much! (Note: My Shield is in Developer Mode, and Used ES FileExplorer to Load) I deleted the App off my phone since I only purchased 1 License. My Shield is registered to the same Google Account as my Phone.
Edit: Opps :eek: Can't Delete off my phone cause I guess Google automatically cancels purchase...I re-purchased App and I will leave it on the Phone.

The app is working quite well on my Shield TV, I used App Cloner to copy it from my Shield K1 tablet. It seems very remote friendly.

Only issues, TV stutters every few minutes, full stop/freeze then skips ahead. Only 1 recording showed up, and it stated something about missing times or wrong times.

If you want more testing done let me know. I have 2 x HDhomerun's 1 a newer connect version. Both on NZ DVB-T. 3 x Shield TV's, NextPVR Windows 10 PC. Windows Server were recordings are created.

I can easily produce in any size up to 1024 x 1024 png, (bigger if required) change background colour if required.
