Unable to watch Live TV or record shows

When I try to watch Live TV the screen just goes black until I exit or right click to stop. I'm able to schedule a recording, however when I go to play back the recording I get an error about there not being data in the file and it mentions that a common problem is a lack of signal from the tuner. This prompted me to double check and I can in fact obtain a signal and watch Live TV using the HDHomeRun software. I have tried switching decorders and it doesn't seem to make a difference; I have reproduced the problem using ffd, Lav, as well as Microsoft's DTV-DVD decoder. I have attached the most recent logs of an attempt to watch Live TV at approximately 14:15.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is the G: that you are recording to a network drive? If so there are special steps you need to follow. You can test to see if this is the problem by changing the live tv folder to the C:\

No, sorry to not clarify, G: is an internal HDD, where as C: is a smaller boot SSD.

This same set up has previously worked, however in late spring is when I started to notice recordings were coming back as failed, with the error about no data and no signal from tuner.

Is 192.168.7.125 the correct IP address of your machine, or is it some secondary networking adapter?

That is the correct IP address of the HTPC.

If you try to record, does it manage to create a file in the drive? Is there anything in the file, or is it zero bytes long? If you bring up the HDHR web config, and you look a the tuner status, does it say the signal is lock, and show a data rate?

Previously it would create a file on the drive but nothing was in the file.

However I think I solved the problem. I remembered that I renamed some of the channels, so for example instead of NextPVR showing “WFLDDT” I wanted it to say “Fox” both in NextPVR and in the client I use. Under the Device section I rescanned the channels and the number of channels it found jumped from like 37 to 200+, (despite my cable subscription being essentially the local broadcasts and having not changed it in anyway). To be honest I don’t remember if my original scan had that many channels and I just culled the list down to the most likely we’d use. But regardless the newly scanned channels seem to be working, both for Live TV and for recording. They also seem to be working after I change “WFLDDT” to “Fox” as well, so perhaps Comcast pushed something on their end that snafu’d how the HDHR sent channel data to NextPVR? I don’t know to be honest, just speculating.
