Can NextPVR and WinTV both be on the same computer?

I have WinTV 8.5 software on my computer now (with a Hauppauge WinTV PCI Express card). Do I have to remove the WinTV software in order to use NextPVR, or can both softwares be on the same computer without interfering with each other?

Yes, they can both be installed at the same time. You'd obviously need to avoid using a tuner in both at the same time though.
