Justa quickie to get you checking... When you update the EPG manually it is running as your userid under Windows. When the update runs from nextpvr it runs as the system user.
This has consequences such as not starting in the usual directory, permissions and ownerships of files being different. Sometimes it is simple enough to make sure you change drives and directories at the start if your script

I have it under users/public/nextpvr/scripts, so I am thinking it's under my user name. I have a folder on my c: called nextpvr, should I place the script in there. Will nextpvr find it if I put it there cause think it needs to be under scripts?

It's not about the folder that the batch file is saved in ... it's about the folder that the batch file runs in. When you open a command prompt and run a batch file ... the batch file is running in something like c:\User\Me ... a reference to myfile in the batch file will cause Windows to look for myfile in c:\Users\Me ... The scripts that NextPVR runs do not run in C:\Users\Me so all file paths should be explicit and include drive letter and full folder path.

This is how i have my script:zap2xml -u username@gmail.com -p password -A -i, so what you are saying is that in my script it should look like this C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\zap2xml -u username@gmail.com -p password -A -i?

There are several excellent posts on the forum on how to set up zap2xml. You should try and research those first. It is not trivial.

Remember your efforts to save a few dollars a month take us time and burden users in the forum.

That looks like it might work ... try it and see. Also, there is this ... http://www.robvanderwoude.com/battech_redirection.php ... which shows how to send the output from the command to a file so that you can see errors after the batch file has finished.

This is certainly easy enough to find with a forum search https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...ht=Zap2xml Like I said you need to do a few things to get it to work so your efforts are required.
