Hello,
Can someone assist me in telling me why my pc is at 100 percent capacity while watching an IPTV program?
I have included the logs.
Thank you,
Bruce

It's because it's not recognizing the stream type, and deciding to let ffmpeg convert it before it before processing.

Try this updated NShared.dll:

(IPTV providers seem to be a big inbred group of companies, all related, and selling each others services. This problem started a couple of weeks ago when vaders switched to different streaming software)

What is the process in getting the file into NextPVR? I forget.
Thank you for your time.

Run the 'Stop NPVR Service' shortcut. Drop the new NShared.dll file into 'C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR', replacing the existing file of the same name, then run the 'Start NPVR Service' shortcut.

Just a quick question, What percent should my PC be running at while viewing an IPTV stream or an ATSC stream?
Mine is running between 45 and 80 percent. I have installed the NShared.dll patch.
I have a I-5 pc with 8 meg of ram.
Thank you,

Ideally playing an IPTV stream should give you about the same as an ATSC stream.

How much exactly will vary depend on stuff like if you're using a decoder and video renderer that does hardware assisted decoding etc.

I believe I am using LAV decoders. What should I use to get the processor percent used down?
Any suggestions?

What video chipset are you using?

You'll probably need to break it down a bit further for us:

How much CPU usage are you seeing from the nrecord.exe, ndigitalhost.exe and nextpvr.exe processes when trying to watch from ATSC?

Also if you are watching via a browser instead of NextPVR or Kodi the transcoding requirements can be high. My experience is 1080 h264 takes more cpu to transcode then mpeg2 atsc b t my backend isn't fast enough to stream either.
