Not sure if this is relevant but FWIW : Over the last 12 months I have had at least a couple of instances where a recording has failed with "No data delivered" and NPVR has then tried to record the same program on the +1 version of the channel and that has failed with "Recording service not running".
Stanno
Because I saw the message that the recording service was not running at the time of the recording, I decided to stop/start NPrecording services and setup several test recordings to see if that would resolve the issue. So far, it seems as if it had. All shows recorded normally with no issues.
I am a bit confused, because I had rebooted the NPVR machine at least twice during my troubleshooting thinking that something might have been hung and a reboot would clear it up. But the reboot did not clear the issue. So I wonder why stop/starting the service did?
Right now all is good. I'll keep an eye on it, There are a few items scheduled for the next few days. I'll check on them and if there is an issue, I'll check the C:\temp directory and see if there is anything there.
Stop/starting the service must have resolved the issue, because all recordings since then have been successful. Again, I'm not sure why a reboot wouldn't have cleared up the issue, but stop/starting the service did.
Over the weekend I saw that one particular show, "I am the Night" failed again with "No errors, but no data delivered" errors. Failed on three different times. One of those times was at midnight on 2/17. (Logs attached) However, other shows "Walking Dead" recorded just fine.
I looked at the event viewer and there were no recorded events at the time of the airing and the NPrecording process is running.
While I was on location, I noticed that another showing of "I am the Night" was starting so I did a quick record, and it started recording just fine.
This is intermittent and not consistence. Some shows record, but others do not. Could there be an issue with the recording schedule? Perhaps I should delete the original recording schedule and recreate it? I don't know what else to do.

Do you use a client (like X-NEWA) that uses the web client running in the NRecord.exe process? I have been seeing the problem where some recordings from an HDHR tuner get this error fairly frequently again. So I need to try to work with sub again to troubleshoot (and hopefully get fixed) my problem. I have a process monitoring all active NPVR recordings and whenever one isn't growing, it will pop-up a window on my laptop. I have found again that in every case, if I close the X-NEWA client in kodi (by selecting the Exit option), then the recording will begin growing. (And I can go back into X-NEWA on the kodi client without any problem.) The problem is that I can't force it to happen, so I have to be here and catch it when it's happening.

It is not likely that this is due to anything in NextPVR ... I have read that there is HomeRun software that allows you to view the status of the device. It may that you can setup a quantity of test recordings and monitor the tuners in the hope that you can catch a failing recording while it is in progress and the HomeRun tells you why it is not sending data to NextPVR.
