Record only new episodes from Android app

First off, I really like the Android app, it looks good and works very well. I'm wondering if there is a way to record only new episodes from within the Android app.
I am using the Nvidia Shield so there are not many buttons on the remote, is it an option if I have a remote with more buttons to bring up some sort of menu with more recording options??

It doesn't currently have an option to do that on the Android app, but I'm intending to do some big improvements to these apps once NextPVR v5 is out, and I'll make sure I add the option to do that.
