I haven't looked at the ATSC EPG on Linux yet. I probably will, but the broadcast EPG is rarely worth it in that part of the world.

Not if the system is off line with no internet as real Cordcutter should be or must of the older folks who have no use for the internet.

How are you watching them? If you're using the browser, I've got one going in Chrome and one in Edge at the moment (or you could use a private browser session).

It's just letting the browser convert the times to strings, using their current locale settings.

Here is a test with me streaming four channel simultaneously from a single WinTV-dualHD, running on a small odroid N2 device running Linux.

Of course I wasn't suggesting you use VLC as a DVR UI. I was just demonstrating the server can easily stream multiple live streams at the same time.

You can use Emby or Kodi or whatever you want as the client.

Emby is great but it more of all round Adv Media Solution but not as Plain Jana DVR which where NextPVR come in like VDR - The Video Disk Recorder only with out Star Trek Lcar UI
I have no interest in pain butt config Kodi.

The web app currently limits you to one live stream per browser session. There is nothing stop you streaming from multiple client machines, each using a browser though (or private browser sessions if you wanted multiple streams on the one desktop). Browser's aren't the idea client though, since content usually has to be transcoded before the browser can play it.

I'm pretty sure that the iOS and Android apps already work with V5. Sub has said that until V5 releases, his development focus is on that so new feature updates, etc. for those apps will have to wait. But they should work as is with V5 now.

Yes, the apps will work with v5. They don't support closed captions at this stage, but hopefully in the near future.

A little work has begun on the Apple TV app improvements.

Was there a resolution to the scanning problem? I don't understand it if it is there.
Ubuntu 19.04, the prerelease 5.0.0.190710 noted above after I installed the libssl
when I us us-Boston I find 4 channel, with us-ATSC-center-frequencies-8VSB the scan stops after the first.

Yes this is fixed in an upcoming release. This is another of the Ubuntu 19.04 and Debian Buster issues. that I referred to. Also you should use the other ATSC scan file the big one isn't necessary.
