I thought I would give V5 a try in parrellel to v4, so have installed it on my win64 machine in Program Files/NPVR
the software launches, discovers all my cards and loads the website
I then configured my folders & thought I would tune a channel or two to test on a kodi client.
However when I press scan channels its says device failed, I have tried with V4 running and with the service + nextpvr shutdown. same result each time.

I have attached my log file incase that helps.

Do you know if you're running up to date Digital Devices drivers?

Its basically failing to hookup the tuner and capture filters for this device. We've had that exact same problem in v4 in the past with their devices - there is a couple of non-standard things they do, and it's causes several issues over the years.

Hey, so I was stupidly looking at the firmware and that is up to date. However just noticed my driver's we 2 behind.
Updating now as it even stopped working in v4 as well.
Fyi I got v5 working with the other TV card. So that's a positive

So I now can't get the card working in V4 at all, however plex, dvbviewer and dd-tv all work fine.
Would you recommend a full wipe of nextpvr, or will the issue persist?

Did you install v5 in the same folder as v4? That would break v4 for sure. If you are ruñning 32 bit Windows you might have

Hi, different folders, running 64bit and V4 in program files (x86) and v5 in program files.
Both using different ports as mentioned as well, also I only have one running at a time.

So I have tried removing the new folder, reinstalling npvr and am now stuck with 4 devices (one card) that just says device won't start.
The fact the device works in other programs makes me wonder what workarounds they are doing to ensure it works.
Oh well, might need to look at this later

Inlcuded with v4, there is a utility called FilterCheck.exe, can you run that and zip and post the FilterCheck.log it creates?

Is the device definitely in a functional state right now? ie, is there any software it's working with in the currently install drivers?

The problem seems to stem from it not reporting output pins. See below, your "Professional DVB Digital TV DVBS2 2" has both input and output. Your Digital Devices only has input.
