I'm still not really sure what you're trying to describe. They both look ok to me. The one on the right looks zoomed, so bigger text etc. The one on the left is the default size (and very similar text size to the previous screenshots you supplied for Plex/Emby web apps).

4k desktops usually have different DPI, so you'd wont end up with tiny text.

Looking at your screenshots https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...post537607, Emby and NextPVR have about the same size text. Plex has slightly smaller text.

Since you took those screenshots, I have expanded the timeline by %50, to that things are a bit more spread out (like the other two apps), to make the guide feel less busy. I also lightened the text a little to make it more readable.

That's not a web app. That's more like the nextpvr.exe or UI client (nlite, knewc etc), which is an desktop app with 10ft UI. Web apps don't work that way.

Cool. That's probably about the best you can hope for with other themes (ie, works well with most themes). I will try to slightly improve the performance for those where it's too dark - it's hard to come up with a generic scheme that'll work for great for all available themes. (particularly when some of them are just crappy, and not well thought out by the specific designer)

Keep in mind that Emby is web base so is Emby-Theater which is a 10ft UI and much bigger in every way
Didn't want you to expanded the timeline by 50% I perfer to way see less of time line and be readable it off the couch
I don't care for look of that old UI it better to unified all UI to the same look and I dig the Web v5 and Mobile UI it just need some refinement
That why I ask what tool did use to build the web pages you know like Frontpage, Dreamweaver ?.

That photo I posted look like it was down size to half it full size so can't really tell
Here zip of it have look

This web app isn't NextPVR's 10ft UI for viewing across a room. This is a 2ft UI for someone sitting directly in front of a laptop or PC (or possibly table/phone). For a 10ft UI, there is nextpvr.exe, or UI clients, or the Apple TV and Android TV apps.

Personally, I use the Apple TV app for my UI.

I expanded the timeline (horizontally), so that the shows were more spread out, giving more space, and more chance of reading the full show title etc.

I use Visual Studio 2019.

If you don't like the nextpvr.exe UI, there will be a new 10ft UI coming at some time in the future.

Yep, with that bigger image I can definitely see the text size in Emby and NextPVR is about the same. Plex is slightly smaller text. As mentioned, since then I've expanded the width by 50%, to give more space. I've also lightened up the text a bit, to help with readability.

It doesn't need be 10ft UI just need more then 2ft UI many of Windows 10 app are big and readable that even my blind brother can read them

Don't own one but we do have Roku

I can tell that knock off 2 hour how about 1 more hour and bump the font by one size and widen the row so less row show

Oh I guest that out of question.

Emby dose has slightly bigger text at lease by one font size
Yes Plex maybe slightly smaller text but it also bold text so has more defining outline less color bleeding

Thought I add some things regarding the guide:

1) the row showing the time-of-day only shows on-the-hour times and not the half-hour times...1:00.....1:00.....2:00.....2:00.....3:00...
2) how does one select which channel group to show in the guide? I've tried the desktop Alt-G but that does nothing.

Thanks.
Later...JohnC
