Hi - just installed v5 for the first time on a fresh Windows 10 PC (never had NextPVR on it). Got it setup with my IPTV provider and works fine from the same pc, but can't connect to it from any other device on my local network. Using Kodi add-ons plus a Shield TV third-party app. Not seeing any specific error messages other than unable to connect. Have also tried with firewall disabled on the Win10 pc, but no difference. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Update:
Just found this in the log (removed identifiers). Not much useful info to go by. I have set a new password and a pin and am definitely using them correctly in my client apps:
[7] Got request [192.168.1.x]: /service
[7] method=session.login
[7] parameters:
[7] method: session.login
[7] sid: xxx
[7] md5: xxx
[7] client_ip: 192.168.1.x
[7] user_agent: Kodi/18.3 (Linux; Android 9.0; SHIELD Android TV Build/PPR1.180610.011) Android/9.0.0 Sys_CPU/aarch64 App_Bitness/64 Version/18.3-Git:20190712-2e454a77bd
[7] LoginSession(sid = xxx)
[7]
[7] <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<rsp stat="fail">
<err code="1" msg="Login Failed" />
</rsp>

I'd start by checking your PIN in the clients and the server is set to 0000

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<rsp stat="fail">
<err code="1" msg="Login Failed" />
</rsp>

means it is not the firewall or connectivity.

I changed the pin in the server. Are you saying I should change it to 0000?

Also, is there a way to change the server port to something besides 8866?

Thanks

I would make sure that it works with PIN 0000 on the server and also on the clients and then start changing both of them.

You can change the port but you are bound to have problems. If you are worried about the internet knowing about this port you can change the inbound port on the router firewall.

Setting the pin back to 0000 did the trick. Thanks very much. Duly noted on the port.

Thrilled with this software so far!
