No internet connection is required for ATSC 1. On Windows in ATSC mode you can scan without Internet.

The web app never needs to be open except for setup All the real work is done by the recording service. The web app is just a GUI to that service.

No, it doesn’t need pin to be entered to record. All that stuff happens in the background.

I answered that. The login pin is the web GUI. If you have Windows sleep an BIOS configured properly there won't be a problem

ok thats good. so how to setup win10 devices to wake PC. or is Nextpvr automaticely on the list of devices to wake PC an setup is needed? additionaly I would like to be able to include a mouse an keyboard to wake PC.

so the Nextpvr his is a standalone PC meaning internet connection not required.
thanks

Where do you enter the PIN if not on NextPVR's web GUI?

It's hosted on it's own machine. It doesn't need to go out to the internet for this.

I assumed he was talking about the windows lock screen, which in Win10/11 often uses a pin code
