It looks like the web server has started ok. If you try to view http://127.0.0.1:8867/index.html, you should see the requests show up on the NextPVRServer.exe window, and hopefully see the page in the browser?

Regarding being unable to get to http://localhost:8867/settings.html, zip and attach the C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\logs directory.

Nope; both browsers give the same error.

This site can’t be reached 127.0.0.1 refused to connect.
Try:

Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Do I need to add a specific Rule for that Port, for nextpvrserver?
Seems rules already allow it?

Yeah, given the lack of requests arriving, it totally could be firewall related. It looks like the web server has started fine, but no requests. You'd have to allow TCP port 8867 or whatever you're using. (I have no idea what those columns are in your screenshot, or what firewall you're using)

That's just windows advanced firewall settings. I restarted the server again and this time it seems to have stuck!
I now get a login page (which I logged in to and changed my password), so seems like it has got somewhere, thanks sub!

No, not really. They're not entirely compatible with each other.

Oh. Bummer. I have a lot of dirs. but doable, USBUIRT Settings, Codecs etc.
OK, will just have to set up and see how I get on. So no future upgrade path v4 to v5 then?

You could try replacing your C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\npvr.db3 with your existing database, and see how you get on. Might work.

Cool. Well I can report the Channels went across... but nothing else like USBUIRT settings and Directories made it across.
Then I opened it again and the channels were all gone, as well as the default v5 settings. Scary.
A lot of errors in the logs.

Does that NextPvrSever cmd window go away (closing it is like Ctrl C...the server disappears) … or is it open for now for testing purposes only?

I might leave v5 for now sub, too much WAF hassle.
