Ubuntu 18.04 Install Fail?

I just tried the v5 server install on a fresh (updated) Ubuntu 18.04 install. Everything seems to have executed without errors or warnings, but no web page is served.
Where do I go from here? Terminal output attached.

It looks like you didn't follow the install curl note.

Indeed, there are some messages I missed in the middle that have the appearance of failure, some relating to curl.
I definitely didn't follow the install curl note, must have missed that memo. What/where is that?

Thanks, yeah I found that and moved on to the next roadblock, but that's a different thread.
