It uses the Schedules Direct json lineup list. This is a list held by SD. It is not shown on the SD website.

They have another list that is shown on the SD website called the 'SD DD' list, which is there for old legacy apps. This is different than their json lineup list.

  1. The list that can be viewed by logging into the SD website
  2. The list that can be viewed in NextPVR Settings
Yes, there are two lists of lineups. Both are lists that SD hold. One is used by old 'data direct' apps. The other is used modern json apps (like NextPVR).

The json lineup list is managed by an api. All the applications that use the json api see / manage that same list.

My inclination wasn't to go to the Settings->Guide, it was to try to scan the channels on my device. If you go directly to Devices, and you already have Schedules Direct set up (like I do), I don't see how you get your channels without having at least one start-over. The first time through, by the time I can put in my credentials the only thing I can do is "add" a lineup, which fails. Then I start over, and the second time through it knows my lineups and I can select it.

Perhaps if you went to the Guide page first, then it would already have your credentials and it would get it the first time, but I don't see anything that would direct you in that way.

On the Guide page, if you have to enter your credentials and then refresh (F5) the page, I'd say that's a very unnatural thing to do. No web page makes you do that, usually it will just clear out what you just entered.

What type of device are you using? The setup process is quite different for different types of devices.

Yes, I agree - you shouldn't have to press F5. As I've said, v5 is work in progress. It's not finished.

Understood, it's beta, just trying to help.
