Hello -
On v4, you can export you channels list as an m3u - this doesn't appear to work in v5. Is this going to be implemented, or has it gone away?

Thanks,
John

You can get it from:
http://localhost:8866/service?method=channel.m3u

Thanks Sub. Sorry if I missed it in the documentation anywhere.

I think it is hardcoded to 127.0.0.1 and not the called IP. I think v4 used the called IP.

It was exactly the same code as v4. It defaults to 127.0.0.1, but you can supply a "host_callback" parameter if you need it to have it point somewhere else:

http://localhost:8866/service?method=cha...3.101.21.6

I think in reality the very small number of people that used this feature were probably from Emby installed on the same machine, so 127.0.0.1 was fine for most.

That is how I got it before thanks. Now with all the backends that can't run clients it will be more relevant.

I may have misunderstood, but on v4 I could get the channel list by entering this for Emby IPTV Source (or a Web Browser for testing purposes):

http://192.168.xxx.xxx:8866/service?method=channel.m3u

Using a Web Browser with v5 running on a Synology DS918+, Docker AMD64 I get:

This page contains the following errors:
error on line 1 at column 1: Document is empty
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

There is no other info on the page.

If you log into the web app first, then try viewing that url in the browser, does it then work?

That method still works, I can input it into vlc just fine but the server is returning

Content-Type: text/xml

which bugs some browsers. I forget to tell sub about this.

I think most players are fine with text/xml. I kind of prefer it because then a browser doesn't attempt to launch a media player, and instead just shows you the text list.
