Hello,

I'm trying out the Mac version of v5 and I went to add a manual recording. It let me enter the date and time of 18:30, but then the pending recording list showed it as 8:30pm... I tried again to set a manual time of 18:47 (6:47pm) and again the pending list showed a pending recording to start at 8:30pm.

Anybody else see problems with adding a manual recording entry?

thanks for any help!

You didn't upload the logs but this was a known issue in earlier builds. Are you running the current version?

Hi Martin,

Thank you for your reply. I had a version from a few weeks ago running but never tried recording. Tonight, I just downloaded the latest version, unpacked it and copied the files over the top of the previous install.

So I believe I'm running the latest version, but maybe the way I just did this upgrade is an issue?

I suppose I can try a fresh/clean install in a new directory if you think that might make a difference?
thanks again for your time,
Richard

If you installed properly it should be ok, but upload the logs so sub can confirm.

Yep, that's the general procedure.

You could try forcing the browser to reload the web page though - it might be using a cached version of the javascript.

thank you... I loaded into a brand new folder and somehow my old settings were still showing up. Not sure what's going on but I've uploaded the log files to the original post. Appreciate any help.

The zip file, which you extracted to some directory, only contains the read-only files. It also creates a directory at ~/.NPVR-data, which contains datafiles, like your channel database, config.xml etc.

Did you force a reload of that browser page, and try scheduling a new recording?

I wonder are you hitting the invisible button to change the time? (click under the calendar for another popup)

Martin

"invisible button"

I would have never found that. When I use that, the time changes just fine.

thank you for the help and apologies if I should have found instructions for that on my own.

thanks again!
