If Kodi is failing to connect I feel the problem is bigger then just the Android app Are you trying to use VPN software?

If not it makes no sense that you are using the public IP to access the server. I am not sure how NextPVR client sessions work but all devices will have the the same client IP. Did you ever try a normal IP.

Thanks both for the help. The direct message from sub has solved it. It was an issue with my pin, the password autofull feature in Chrome had changed my pin.. However im not sure why my iOS devices could connect.

To answer the public IP question, my server is not in the same local network as the clients I am trying to setup, I was of the impression this meant I had to use the public IP?

For routing I guess it will depend on your router and firewall rules, but sending all video traffic over the internet is not going to give the kind of performance I would want.

The ipad may have been logged in before the PIN was changed by Chrome
